Ginger Concepcion is well known for her extraordinary use of color and for eclectic subjects borne of her widely traveled upbringing. She defines her artistic view as “traditional with a twist.” The traditional aspect of her oil paintings is objective in style, with recognizable subjects such as children playing and busy marketplaces.  The “twist” is that these traditional scenes are often depictions of everyday life in Iran, England, India and other exotic places.

Concepcion is a prolific artist whose work has been shown often in a variety of settings from restaurants to museums. She was named by the International Cherry Blossom Festival as the Porcelain Artist for 2006 and was recently profiled in Belle Magazine. She is a co-owner of Art on the Avenue, a gallery/studio in Macon Georgia.
